Tim Ferriss’ book The 4 Hour Work Week, in addition to his podcast, had a major impact on me. They made me see through the assumptions of the business world and cut directly to what matters.
We invent excuses.
Thought 2/ There is a disconnect between what impresses people and what matters most.
Using Tim Ferriss’ example, a multi-best selling author, businessman, prominent investor and known podcaster, he reflects on the difference between noticeable achievements and true inner peace/happiness. In short, these things don’t always overlap.
Thought 3/ There is no acceptable excuse for detouring from what matters most.
Ferriss’ priority for some time, at this more mature stage of his life/career, is a focus on inner peace.
Interesting to think what other results will just ensue if this is our focus…
